At the meeting point of Herbie Hancock, Buckshot Le Fonque and Meshell Ndegeocello, Electro Deluxe introduces a personal vision adding to the constant evolution of jazz music. In November 2001, Gaël Cadoux and Thomas Faure met in city of lights and music to enter the world of jazz. Together they decided to unite their individual talents and passion for jazz and funk in a new musical project. They called upon Jeremy Coke and Arnaud Renaville to join their vision and gave birth to Electro Deluxe.

One year later, the universe of machine programming was added by Thomas Faure and in the months that followed, the group tuned and enriched its repertoire confronting it to the heat of Parisian platforms. In the fall of 2002 they met the record label ‘Such’ and their in-tune notion for jazz, electro-jazz and funk-music fused with hip-hop productions. After a year of reflection on the artistic orientation of the group, Electro Deluxe entered the studios in 2004 to record their personal vision of jazz.

The album unites 10 guest musicians who each bring on their individual talents and influences for their passion of groove. Appearances include the masters of jazz Didier Lockwood and Flavio Boltro, the fine tune of noJazz members (Guillaume Poncelet & Philippe Sellam), turntable prodigy Dj Gump, the poetic voice of the American rapper IMO and the sensual, soulful voice of Cynthia Saint-Ville.
Thomas Faure – Saxophone / Programmations
Thomas career begins at the Grenoble conservatory before integrating at the age of 15 various musical formations orientated around Groove & Funk. The transformation into Jazz would come at a later time; Funk remaining the musical genre in which Thomas has learned to elaborate his compositions and his scenic projects. Its while working on his first project that Thomas meets with Guillaume Poncelet (WISE, NO-JAZZ) with whom his collaboration evolves. He then meets Gael Cadoux in Paris, a long time friendship that developed at a conservatory in the 9th quarters of Paris. Gaël Cadoux – Keyboards It’s at the age of 6 that Gael begins his development in music with the classic piano. As a youngteenager he starts detaching himself from the academic circuit and pursues meetings with a music professor who would initiate his formation in jazz. He is immediately seduced by the liberty procured by improvisation in this study. He continues his music development by entering a conservatory to perfect his piano skills and follows group courses of harmony and arrangement next to Pierre Drevet. This leads Gael to Paris at the age of 23. He signs up at the Didier Lockwood music center at which time his piano professor opens his contacts and allows Gael to explore and meet various jazz musicians. This same year in 2001 he ties a friendship with the drummer, of the band, Arnaud Renaville. Gael follows the teachings of Bernard Maury, Bill Evans specialist that would later become one of his main influences. Today Gael shares his life between teaching piano and participating in several projects with a jazz quartet, an orchestra and Captain Mercier.
Jérémie Coke – Bass Jeremy begins his musical education with an instrument, which demands serious knowledge & patience: The violin. He would then opt for the bass, which would be his true calling. A self thought musician, learning to the bass sounds of Jamiroquai, Incognito or Meshell Ndegeocello. Jérémie later joined and played with a group of funk with whom he had developed a strong taste for the platform and continued his development by attending a school in Paris where he learned various formations including: Funk, Afro and Cuban. At the same time, Jérémie meets Thomas, Gael & Arnaud and decides to fully integrate the group. His influences include Richard Bona, Meshell & Buckshot leFonque. He also plays with Daby Touré and Michel Jonasz. Arnaud Renaville – Drums Originally from Belgium, Arnaud follows a strict formation at the Royal Conservatory of Bruxelles, leaving with a diploma allowing him to pursue his passion for music at the M.A.I (Music Academy International) of Nancy, (Fr), followed by an integration into the music center of Didier Lockwook where he would meet Thomas. If Arnaud shows a surprising talent and a facility to adapt to compositions of all styles, this is due to his studies alongside the biggest drum masters such as André Charlier, Franck Agulhon, Benjamin Henocq or Karim Ziad going on to play with various groups including, Captain Mercier, Cedric Hanriot quartet, Fred Borey et Petr Zelenka trio as much on the European territories: France, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland as on the international countries during his various Live tours in Africa and Canada.
